Martino Motorsports Update @ National Trails
We had a great outing with our Design Engineering Inc. / Ny-Trex Nitrous Top Dragster at the 25th Anniversary NHRA Jeg’s SuperQuick Event at National Trails Raceway. We qualified strong for the event, won the Rocks Trailer Sales qualifying award after our second qualifying pass, and were able to qualify and compete all weekend without nitrous.
Our new engine combination is showing great potential for big numbers this season. Even though we lost a very tight race in eliminations, we are confident that we have a strong combination heading into the remainder of 2013 that’s going to be tough to beat in eliminations.
Next up for Martino Motorsports is our four race #OhioSwing. It will be fun competing in front all of our Ohio fans and showing our fellow competitors what home-track advantage is all about.
First up, we are scheduled to compete in a Quick 16 series event at Quaker City Motorsports Park (Salem, Ohio) this Saturday - 6/29/13. We had the ADRL event at Martin, MI marked on our calendar as our first choice for this weekend, but due to rain and thunderstorms in the forecast for Michigan and the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Nationals scheduled next week, we decided to compete in the event at Quaker City. Quaker City has always been a great track for our race team. Fans and track staff have been promoting our appearance at Quaker City all week, so we should have a strong fan base at the track for the event.
Event information can be found at Quaker City’s website: http://www.quakercitymotorsportspark.com
From Quaker City we will be headed to Summit Motorsports Park (Norwalk, Ohio) for the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Nationals. We will send more details on this event upon completion of the Quaker City event.
Thanks for the support and see you at the track.
